Investor Information

Seth is a veteran of the consumer products industry and has worked on all sides of the consumer products food chain, primarily as a "merchant liquidator". In 2007, Seth was a co-founder, investor, and President and CEO of Talon Merchant Capital, a Chicago-based wholesale liquidation business, which was acquired by Liquidation World in 2009. Prior to founding Talon Merchant Capital, Seth co-founded Big Lots Capital, the liquidation arm of Big Lots Stores Inc., a Fortune 500 company. Prior to Big Lots, Seth co-founded Hilco Wholesale Trading (subsequently acquired by Cerberus and Goldman Sachs) where he was responsible for deal origination, valuation, acquisition and disposition strategies and helped build the business into the leading liquidation firm in the US. Seth also serves on Liquidation World's board of directors.

Dan joined Liquidation World in July 2009 and came to the Company from 6N Silicon Inc., an early stage company in the solar industry. Prior to that, Dan was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Algoma Steel Inc. where, in 2007, he played a significant role in the Company’s sale to an overseas investor. Prior to Algoma, Dan spent eight years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at CPI Plastics Group Ltd., a TSX listed company, where he headed the Initial Public Offering team and subsequently led financings, merger and acquisition initiatives. Over a finance career that spans more than 22 years, Dan has managed all aspects of finance administration in both public and private companies and has acquired expertise at transitioning companies through change and restructuring. Dan began his career at KPMG LLP in 1987.

Charles has spent 25 years in the discount retail business, most recently as Vice-President of Operations (West Coast Region) for Big Lots Stores Inc. Previous to his time at Big Lots Stores Inc., he held various executive merchandising and operational positions with K-Mart and TJX Corp. In these positions, Charles gained extensive experience in turnarounds, expansion initiatives and developing and implementing operational controls.

Lynda joined the Liquidation World team in 2009 and brought with her an extensive background in marketing & communications and a unique combination of business acumen, agency experience and proven leadership in turnaround environments. She played a key role in the revitalization of Humpty Dumpty Snack Foods and was integral in the 'green' re-branding and repositioning of Sanimax Inc, a global agriculture enterprise.

Chris joined Liquidation World in 2008 following a six year tenure with Katz Group Canada Ltd. (Rexall and Pharma Plus Drug Stores) where he served first as Controller and then as Director Store Audit and Supplier Revenue for the 350 store chain. Prior to joining Katz, Chris worked for 14 years in financial roles in manufacturing with experience in the primary and secondary steel industry and tier one automotive plastics. Chris is a Certified Management Accountant.
Chad Richardson originally joined Liquidation World in 1996 as a store associate providing ground level experience in the Company's operations. Upon completion of his Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems Chad rejoined the Company in 1999 and spent a number of years working in all areas of the Company's information systems. In 2003 he became the Director of Information Systems and has since lead the IS team. During his tenure with the Company, Chad has project managed the implementation of our new merchandise management system, the largest capital investment in the history of the company.
Carol is a Liquidation World veteran. She joined the Company in 1993 after earning a diploma in Business Administration. Carol started out in the Company’s Cambridge store and within months was recruited to handle administrative functions in the front office. Shortly thereafter, Carol joined the buying team. Over the years, Carol has scored many great deals for the Company and today, as Director of Merchandise, oversees Liquidation World’s team of closeout buyers.
Ted has been in retail management/operations for 20 years. He has spent the last 7 years with Liquidation World Inc. His experiences are a unique blend of buying, front end retail management (including time as a District Manager and company trainer) and back end operations in distribution and logistics. He has been involved in coordination of air, ocean and land based freight for over 10 years. He has been involved in selection and implementation of several MMS/ WMS platforms. Ted has achieved the FCILT professional designation from the Charter Institute of Logistics and Transportation (UK). Ted has training in Six Sigma and Lean processes and is presently completing both his Six Sigma Black Belt and his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
